Shoe picks for the week (August 13)
Our previous 7 days 7 shoes reviews usually included some picks which would really clear your bank account. Therefore, this week we will focus on something more affordable. We gave ourselves a budget of £140 (basically £20 per pair) and went to find a pair for each of the usual categories (avoid cheap Chinese websites with 30+ days shipping). Let’s see how we did.
Kaye from Aldo
Simple textile ballet flats with a pointed toe with a bit of an edgy with a metallic modern heel. Simple and smart, and thank god for discounts, these are 50% off so we fit into our £20 budget per pair.
Black Clear Ankle Strap Flat Sandals from New Look
These sandals do look unusual, however I do like them. They are simple, but different, and fits in our budget nicely!
Classy but Comfy
Grey Suede Contrast Panel Tassel Loafers from New Look
Lovely grey loafers (they also come in black). Would suit almost any environment: business, day out, meeting. Also, easy to pair with different types of clothing. Great pick and just only £11!
Price: Was £ 11.00
Occasional – Gym
Adidas Duramo Lite Ladies Trainers
We reviewed our previous picks and noticed that we have never added a nice pair for the gym. As this week we went with budget shoes, we thought its a good time to incorporate gym shoes. We picked the cheapest adidas we could find, they are a wee bit over our £20 per pair budget, however we saved few pounds from our previous picks, haha. Lucky enough, this are not in the usual black or white colour.
Blue polka dot simple strap platform heeled sandals from Missguided
I already knew this is going to be a really difficult one, as let’s be honest, if we agree to go on a date, we always want to look as best as we can and it is always hard to match the budget with the desired look. However, I do feel I found something that looks good and fits our budget. These polka-dotted platform sandals are cute! I do think you can easily match these with a pair of nice jeans, nice top and a jacket and you are ready for a casual day, looking stunning and fun!
Black fishnet pointed court shoes by Missguided
Another pick from Missguided. Why buy fishnets and pumps separately, when you can get a combo mix from Missguided. Not sure about the practicality, but just wanted to provide you with this affordable alternative for party/night out pick. Like it or dislike it, however they do fit in our budget and if you match them with nice dress, you can easily feel and look stylish and bold. Sadly, they aren’t that comfortable or high quality.
Sandals with feathers from H&M
From our previous picks, we know that Crazies usually come with the crazy price too. However, keeping with our theme here, and still wanting to review something crazy, we went with these feathery black sandals from H&M. They are not as crazy as you expect, but still, you need to be adventures and fun to want and be able to wear them.
