2018 Autumn Winter Footwear Trends
As the summer is coming to the end, it’s good to prepare yourself for the upcoming autumn/winter season. After a bit of the research, we put together a list of what we think will be the top trends for 2018 AW. Of course, as per usual, we will also suggest some less expensive alternatives for the trend setting big luxury brands.
Block heels are still in
Well if you think of it, they have been in for a while now, and I think the reason is that they are the most comfortable high heels possible. Low block heel will give you good balance, nice comfort, but will also improve your posture and finally, will give you that extra cherry on the top for your look.
Well, this one is the least favourite of mine, however, as I am not a shoemaker or shoe designer working for a huge luxury brand, I cannot stop it. Yes, Kitten Heels are back on, not sure why and how, but they do not look good, they are not comfy and I just do not understand them.
What about the colours?
Brown is going to be popular, also we noticed few brands going for bright, unusual colours such as sky blue or banana yellow. Blacks, lipstick reds and patent whites have their place too. Finally, there a good bunch of designs trying to combine few colours or even few pallets at once (and there are some winners, some losers for sure).
What about the boots?
Calf length, booties and of some over-knees are the ones to look for. Also, we noticed some brands going back to the cowgirl/cowboy boot look.
Sorry for the bad pun, but just could not help it. Anyways, yes, shoes with bows are here, and some of them really look great.
